How We Use Artificial Intelligence

Gradelog uses AI to provide field support, troubleshooting guidance, and documentation assistance to construction and survey contractors. Our AI systems are powered by Anthropic's Claude models.

What AI Does on Gradelog

• Field Assistant: answers troubleshooting questions about precision equipment
• Report generation: creates as-built reports and field documentation
• Calculator assistance: helps interpret results from field calculators

AI Identity Disclosure

Our AI assistant will always identify itself as an AI when asked. It is not a human. If you ask "Are you a person?" or "Are you an AI?", it will confirm it is an AI assistant.

Data Used by Our AI

When you use Gradelog's AI features, the following data is processed:

• Your message and conversation history (to provide context)
• Equipment information from your account (brand, model) when relevant
• Job context when you use AI within a specific job

Your conversations are processed by Anthropic's API. Anthropic's data handling practices are governed by their Privacy Policy.

AI Limitations

AI-generated content is for informational purposes only. It should not replace professional judgment, engineering decisions, or safety procedures. Always verify critical measurements and specifications against authoritative sources.

In compliance with California SB 942, Gradelog discloses that this product uses generative AI. Some responses are generated by AI models and reviewed by our team. AI-generated content is labeled or disclosed where required by law.
